Frankie "Blue" Moore, 68, of Stamford, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 7, following a traffic stop by Officer Tim Inverno, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.
According to Conklin, Inverno, a longtime member of the Narcotics and Organized Crime squad, got word on the street that Moore was selling Fentanyl.
When he spotted Moore driving he pulled him over and during a search found nine folds of Fentanyl, stamped with "Takeover," along with a straw with drug residue and $71 in cash, Conklin said.
Inverno then contacted the Narc squad who was able to get a warrant for Moore's home after he declined to have it searched, Conklin said.
During the search of his basement apartment, police found an additional 67 folds of Fentanyl stamped with the same "Takeover" logo, $500 in cash and a digital scale, Conklin said.
Moore was charged with possession of narcotics, the sale of certain illegal drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and illegal use of tinted glass.
He is held being held on a $20,000 court-appearance bond.
